1.What this covers
Routecore LLC ("we", "us") publishes MeshRoute. These terms cover the MeshRoute apps for Mac, iPhone and iPad, the meshroute.app website, and buying MeshRoute Pro.
By using any of them you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use them. You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
2.Which licence covers your copy
Where your copy came from decides which licence you get.
- From the App Store, on iPhone or iPad. Your copy is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Those terms decide what you may do with the app, and nothing here replaces them.
- Downloaded from meshroute.app, on a Mac. Your copy is licensed under section 3 below.
The rest of this page applies either way.
3.Your licence for MeshRoute for Mac
MeshRoute is licensed to you, not sold. We grant you a personal licence, which you cannot transfer to somebody else, to install and run it on Macs you own or control, up to the number shown at checkout, and to keep backup copies.
The free plan is licensed on the same terms, on as many Macs as you like. You may use MeshRoute at work and for commercial purposes.
You may not make MeshRoute available over a network where several devices could run it at once from one copy. We keep every right we have not granted here.
4.What you may not do
- Redistribute the app, publish it elsewhere, rent it, lend it, or host it as a service for other people.
- Take it apart. No reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembling, except where the law says that right cannot be taken away.
- Change the app or build something out of it, including patched builds and repacked installers.
- Work around the free-plan limits, the licence check or the device limit.
- Share a licence key beyond the Macs your purchase covers.
- Use MeshRoute to reach networks, devices or accounts you have no permission to use.
- Use it to move malware, or anything that breaks somebody else’s rights.
- Use it for anything unlawful where you are.
We can suspend a licence key for fraud, a payment dispute, or a serious breach of these terms. Where it is reasonable we will tell you why first.
5.Your licence key
Your licence key is a credential. Keep it the way you keep a password, and leave it out of support messages and public posts. It does not expire. An emailed unlock link is the quick alternative, and it stops working 60 minutes after we send it.
A licence covers the number of Macs shown at checkout. Reinstalling on the same Mac does not use another slot. When the slots are used up, the app offers to move the licence to the Mac in front of you and puts the other back on the free plan. Replacing a Mac is expected. Repeated transfers meant to share one licence between people are not, and we may limit them.
The app counts devices with a one-way identifier derived on your Mac. How that works is in the Privacy Policy.
6.Your mesh is yours
A mesh is your devices talking to each other over Apple’s peer-to-peer wireless. Your traffic and the files you send go straight between those devices. They never pass through us, so we cannot see them, moderate them, get them back, or take them down.
You decide who joins your mesh and what happens on it, and you carry the responsibility for both, including what you or your guests put on it. Use MeshRoute on devices you own, or on devices whose owner has agreed.
7.The free plan and Pro
MeshRoute is free to use, with limits. The current limits are on the pricing page. We can change those in later versions, but never by taking back a feature you have already paid for in the version you have installed.
On the Mac, MeshRoute Pro is a one-time purchase taken by Stripe. There is no renewal date, no card kept on file, and nothing to cancel. Your card details go to Stripe rather than to us.
Delivery is immediate: an unlock link and your licence key on the page Stripe returns you to, and the same key by email. Keep that email. If it never turns up, write to support@meshroute.app from the address you paid with and we will re-issue it. A payment that went through always has a licence behind it.
On iPhone and iPad, Pro is bought through the App Store, so Apple is the merchant for that sale and handles the billing under its own terms.
8.Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on a direct purchase. Ask within 14 days and we refund it, with no reason needed. Email support@meshroute.app from the address you paid with. Refunds go back through Stripe to the original payment method, and usually appear within 5 to 10 working days.
A refund ends the licence that purchase issued, and the Macs holding it go back to the free plan. We may turn down a request that is fraudulent, or where the licence has been shared or resold.
If a payment looks wrong, please write to us before opening a dispute with your bank. A dispute decided against us ends the licence in the same way a refund does.
Purchases made on iPhone or iPad are refunded by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, under Apple’s policy. We cannot issue or refuse those.
Whatever this section says, the refund rights your local consumer law gives you still apply.
9.Updates and availability
Pro is a one-time purchase, and updates we publish are included for as long as we publish them. If we ever release a separate product sold on its own, it would be a new purchase, and we will say so plainly rather than switching your licence off.
Speed over peer-to-peer wireless depends on the hardware, distance, interference and what else is using the radio. We cannot promise MeshRoute will run without interruption, reach a given speed, or get along with every app you route through it. Current system requirements are on the download page.
The licence service can be down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. Your Mac keeps a signed entitlement, so Pro keeps working offline. If we ever retire the licence service, we will give you a reasonable way to keep using a licence you have paid for.
10.Support
Routecore LLC, not Apple, provides all support for MeshRoute. Write to support@meshroute.app or use the support form, and please leave your full licence key out of the message. The address you paid with is enough. We aim to reply within a few working days.
Found a security problem? Email us with "security" in the subject. Please test against your own devices and give us a reasonable window before you publish. If you would like a public credit when a fix ships, say so.
11.Ownership and feedback
MeshRoute, its documentation, this website and the MeshRoute and Routecore names and logos belong to Routecore LLC and its licensors. You get the licence described above and nothing else. Your own data stays yours, and nothing here gives us a right to the files you move over a mesh.
MeshRoute includes third-party components, which stay under their own licences.
If you send us an idea or a bug report, we may use it to improve MeshRoute without owing you payment or credit.
12.Warranty
To the extent the law allows, MeshRoute and this website are provided as they are and as available, with all faults and without warranty of any kind, whether stated or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that MeshRoute will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you.
For a direct purchase, the 14-day money-back guarantee is the remedy we offer. For an App Store copy you may tell Apple instead, and Apple will refund the purchase price. That refund is Apple’s only warranty obligation, and Apple has no other warranty responsibility of any kind.
None of this cuts into the rights your local consumer law gives you, which apply whatever this section says.
13.What we are not responsible for
MeshRoute runs on your devices and moves traffic between them. Plenty of what can go wrong around it is not ours, and we are not responsible for it: your hardware, macOS, radio conditions and interference, other apps you route through MeshRoute, what you or your guests do on a mesh you run, or anything you connect a mesh to.
To the extent the law allows, Routecore LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profit, lost business, or lost or corrupted data, even where we were told such harm was possible.
The most we can ever owe you is what you paid us for your licence. The free plan is free, so there is nothing to refund.
Nothing here removes liability that cannot legally be removed, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, and none of it affects the rights consumer law gives you where you live.
14.Apple’s part in this
This agreement is between you and Routecore LLC only, not with Apple. We alone are responsible for MeshRoute and its content, including any product liability claim, any claim that the app fails to meet a legal requirement, and any claim that it infringes somebody’s intellectual property. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.
Where you obtained MeshRoute through an Apple service, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and on your acceptance Apple has the right to enforce it against you. You also agree to follow any third-party terms that apply when you use MeshRoute, such as your wireless carrier’s.
You confirm that you are not in a country under a United States embargo or on any United States government list of restricted parties, and you agree to follow applicable export law.
15.Ending it
You can stop using MeshRoute at any time by deleting it. Before you sell or give away a Mac, delete MeshRoute from it, which frees the licence slot for your next machine.
The licence ends automatically if you breach these terms, or if a purchase is refunded or a dispute goes against us. When it ends, delete every copy you hold. Ownership, the warranty disclaimer, the liability limits, Apple’s part in this and governing law keep applying afterwards.
16.Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The current version always lives at this address with its effective date at the top. Where a change affects a purchase you have already made, it applies to future use rather than reaching backwards, and using MeshRoute after a change takes effect means you accept it.
17.Governing law, and the rest
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, leaving aside its conflict of law rules. If you live somewhere whose consumer law gives you the protection of your local courts, that right is untouched. Before anything formal, please write to us.
If a clause here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. You may not transfer these terms to somebody else; we may transfer them as part of a sale of the business.
These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about MeshRoute. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data. It is a notice, not part of this contract. For an App Store copy, Apple’s standard EULA is the licence, and it wins over anything here that disagrees with it about the app itself.
