Privacy Policy

The short version: MeshRoute creates a private local network between your own nearby devices. Your mesh traffic stays between those devices — it does not pass through our servers, and no account is required to start a local mesh.

Information we do not collect

MeshRoute does not require an account to create or join a local mesh. We do not collect, store, or transmit the contents of your network traffic, the files you share over Mesh Drop Box, or a log of the devices you connect to. Data moving across your mesh travels directly between your nearby devices.

Local networking

To function, MeshRoute uses Apple’s local networking capabilities:

  • Apple’s peer-to-peer wireless to form a direct link between nearby devices.
  • Local network discovery to find other devices running MeshRoute nearby.
  • Standard IPv4 addressing so your apps can communicate over the local subnet.

This activity happens on-device and over the local radio link. It is not reported to us.

Purchases & MeshRoute Pro

MeshRoute Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store using App Store billing. Purchases are handled by Apple, and we do not receive or store your payment details. To validate your subscription and restore purchases, we use a third-party purchase management service that processes an anonymous purchase identifier and receipt data provided by the App Store. An internet connection is only needed for optional upgrades and account features — never for the local mesh itself.

Support requests

When you contact us through the support form, the name, email, subject, and message you provide are sent to our support inbox so we can respond. The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent abuse; your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Diagnostics

If Apple’s standard crash and analytics reporting is enabled on your device, aggregated, anonymized diagnostic data may be shared with us through Apple to help improve stability. You can control this in your device’s Privacy & Security settings.

Children’s privacy

MeshRoute is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
